The Inclusion Project: A School Discipline Community of Practice
A recently funded project in partnership with the University of Minnesota Center for Urban & Regional Affairs. The Inclusion Project expands our work with local school districts aiming to leverage community-based and internal assets to transform disciplinary projects.

Collaboration with Dr. Christopher Thyberg
Dr. Thyberg’s research interests include the intersection of restorative justice, anti-racism, and trauma-informed care within schools, mental health treatment disparities among racial and ethnic minority youth, structural and critical social work, and the experiences of low-wage families. The Liberation Lab is proud to partner with Dr. Thyberg in our school-based research.
Saint Paul Public Schools
Researchers of the Liberation Lab has also partnered directly with Saint Paul Public Schools to assess the impact of restorative practices on youth at school. The reports below include evaluation of a “Whole School Restorative Practices” model, which first began in 2016.
